Youth Protection Policy
BSA Youth Protection Program
The Council Youth Protection Committee has a representative in
each district. This person is the District Youth Protection Coordinator.
The District Coordinator is responsible for assuring all adults
in the district have completed youth protection training. They
maintain a list of adults responsible within each unit who is
responsible for youth protection in the unit. They assist units
by providing guidance in planning and conducting the youth program
for youth protection (guide at the front of each handbook) and
provide a copy of "A Time to Tell" and "It Happened
to Me" for your unit to view. Parents will have access to
all materials and all training. Adult Scouters may contact the
Youth Protection Coordinator to make arrangements to borrow a
copy of the appropriate vidseo for youth.
